Our Journey to Colorado

The last few days in Spokane were a little stressful, but things were going fairly well. The moving trailer was delivered and with the help of Chad's dad, we filled it up and sent it on it's way to Pueblo. We had a caravan driving to Colorado. Chad in one truck, his family in another, and my brother, Chris, came out to help me drive with the girls. The evening before the big move, a light in Chad's truck came on indicating that something was wrong. It was too late in the evening to bring it to the shop and we didn't want to risk driving it and having it break down in the middle of nowhere. STRESS!!!

Chad and Chris stayed in Spokane and brought it to the shop in the morning. The rest of us started our journey. Luckily, it didn't take too long for the problem to be fixed (the altanator) and the boys were just a couple of hours behind us. Since we had the girls, a dog and a cat, and had to make more stops than the boys, they were only a half hour behind us when we stopped in Buffalo, Wyoming for the night.

The girls did very well on the journey, much better than I thought they would! The night at the hotel was not so fun. I had two girls who were in a car all day and didn't want to go to sleep, and a cat who would cry every couple of hours. Besides that it was smooth sailing.

We are now in our new home and mostly unpacked. We have already started on the kitchen renovations. We should have our cabinets and counter tops ordered this week.
