Kitchen Madness!

Jim (our contractor) was able to get the bottom cabinets installed in time for the granite template to be done!!!

However.....we have come across some major problems. The tile floors were installed during the time when we had put an offer on the house, so they are only a few months old. Some of the tiles are starting to come up and grout is cracking everywhere. After having a couple tile experts out to look at the floor, we have found that the tile was not installed correctly. It was put down directly on the subfloor! So now we have to tear out 550 sf of tile (kitchen, dining room, bathroom, laundry room, entry way and hall) and have it redone. We are in the process of consulting a real estate lawyer to see if we can re-coop any of the money we now have to spend correcting this problem.
