Cheryl and Ashley were in the same wave together. First was the 750-meter swim in Prospect Lake.
Cheryl was concerned about the swimming event. She came out of the water a little pale, but she did great! A lot of participants didn't even finish this portion of the race.

This is Cheryl's event! The bike course was a loop that the riders rode around 4 times. Everytime she passed, she would wave to her girls with a big smile on her face!

The final event was a 5K run. Cheryl had some problems with cramping, but kept going!

Cheryl you ROCK! Not only did she finish the race, but she finished under her goal of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Her time was 1 hour 42 minutes! Personally, I can't believe that people call this fun..looks like torture to me! What did Cheryl say about her first triathlon? She can't wait to do another!!! She is hoping to participate in another one this September...I hope to be there to support her again!
Congratulations to Ashley who came in second place in her age group (female)! She finished the race in 1 hour 35 minutes.
